Oil Movement

Oil Movement is an integrated software solution designed to manage, in compliance with local regulations, all fiscal-relevant operations related to the movement of petroleum products within the refinery, from crude oil receipt to the transformation and shipments of finished products.

The suite provides application modules for the planning of product movements carried out by the refinery, the accounting of the operations and issuing of all fiscal-relevant documentation, calculation and tracking of the crude mix on tanks, inventory processing of crude oil and finished products. It interfaces with other refinery systems to retrieve orders, process data, laboratory analysis, tank information and other processing-relevant data. Oil Movement streamlines operational processes by digitizing and automating administrative tasks, reducing errors and ensuring a faster and more accurate flow of information. It provides complete traceability of operations, verifying that each operation is permitted only if the process conditions are met and ensuring transparent and effective management of the process. The software runs on-premises as well as on Microsoft Azure, making use of native cloud services.

Planning

Shipments and receipts orders are automatically collected from ERPs/Order systems. The system allows medium-long term planning of crude oil receipts and products shipments to fulfill orders requirements, also determining the foreseen berths occupancy for the planned period. Based on such plan, the user manages the daily work schedule of all the operations to be executed on tanks (fiscal operations, product transfer between tanks, blending, and so on).

Accounting/Execution

In the accounting phase, the actual amount of product shipped or received is calculated, and the new product stock in tanks is determined based on the type of movements accounted for. The system generates all the required documentation to ensure compliance with standard and local regulatory, including shipments and receipts documents (bill of lading, quantity and quality certificates, etc), tank operations reports and so on. During operations, the exchange of information between the vessel and the ground is managed and the necessary documentation is produced (time logging, vessel timesheet, checklists, reports, etc.).

Inventory

Oil Movement calculates the refinery inventory and compulsory stocks. A crude tracking engine keeps track of the crude mix inventory in tanks, from crude oil arrival to processing throughout all refinery operations.

Integration

Oil Movement integrates with other refinery systems to retrieve orders, get process data (i.e. tank level, tank temperature, pressure), get laboratory data (product density) and to send back actual data as a result of operations accounting.
